Clouds and Cloud Shadows

From the ground, clouds look like wispy little things, but clouds are opaque masses and they do cast shadows on the earth’s surface. It fascinates me to watch cloud shadows move across the contours of the hills and over the flat surface of water, as the clouds emphasize the shapes and colors of whatever they are passing over.
