Lone Canada Goose

This lone Canada goose set up housekeeping on a large lawn by the hospital, just off the highway that runs through town. Of course, everyone drove by to look at it and to take photos.  Whenever folks got too close for comfort, the bird waddled off and then settled down in a new location in the grass, and the hospital had a beautiful lawn ornament for a while. One day, the bird was gone.  Perhaps that broken-looking wing healed and this huge bird flew away. Or maybe the bird found some other geese in the neighbourhood and has some company for the summer.
