Pin Cherry Blossoms

I worked away from home for about ten years, and the time of year I missed home the most was that brief period – four or five days only! – when the pin cherry trees in the garden would be blossoming.  The trees with their black twisted trunks, branches sprouting out from all angles and covered with clusters of white balls budding open into exquisite tiny flowers.  Who wouldn’t be homesick?
