Dandelion Clocks

Yellow dandelion flowers mature into fluffy balls of tiny white parachutes, each supporting its own seed. Of course, nature’s way is that these seeds will disperse in all directions of the wind without any help , but it’s a lot more fun for children (and adults) to pick the flower and count how many breaths it takes to blow all the parachutes off the stalk. That’s what time it is by the Dandelion Clock.
